The Nintendo Wii U, which succeeded the Wii in 2012, was the first Nintendo game console to support HD graphics. The console provided a multiplayer setup as long as both players stay in the same room. It came with physical buttons and joysticks for gameplay. It also featured a touchscreen used as a supplement to the TV or as the main screen for supported games. It also supported motion control, which makes gaming more exciting on the device.

1.Bayonetta

Bayonetta
Bayonetta

The eccentric, reference-heavy action game from Platinum Games, and its Wii U exclusive sequel.

Bayonetta is a cinematic and fashionable action game from the imaginative mind of Hideki Kamiya. As a gun-wielding sorceress with powers beyond the understanding of mere mortals, Bayonetta faces-off toward countless enemies in a set of 100% pure all-out action

Unusual finishing moves are completed with acrobatic grace as Bayonetta flows from one fight to another.

Bayonetta is one of the coolest and best Wii u games ever made, starring one of the most excellent protagonists created. Its combat initially seems a little underwhelming, but once it all ‘snaps’ and you find yourself stringing all manner of outlandish combos coincidentally, you believe like the star of the world’s most excellent action movie.

Its unique style is not for everyone, but those who fall for Bayonetta fall for it hard.

2.Bayonetta 2

Bayonetta 2
Bayonetta 2

Brimming with epic, gorgeous cut scenes and more exhilarating battles than ever, this game never lets up on the action.

Bayonetta 2 has an amazing history. Nintendo, in an attempt to bring more mature content to the Wii U, stepped in with funding for a sequel under the condition that it would be a Wii U exclusive.
It turns out that it was the right call on Nintendo’s part. Improving on nearly every aspect of the original release, Bayonetta 2 is more stylish and bombastic than the game that preceded it.

Furthermore, Bayonetta 2 paved the way for other mature titles to make their way over to Nintendo, with games like Dark Souls and Diablo III now featured on Switch. Bayonetta 2 is an homage to the hack and slash genre and its most infamous titles. PlatinumGames created the original Bayonetta title, but more specifically, was directed by Hideki Kamiya.

Kamiya’s uniquely creative style and taste are reflected in his meticulousness with character design, plot/writing, and gameplay; this level of finesse emanates from nearly every facet of Bayonetta 2.

You play as the titular character, Bayonetta, who — after watching her friend, Jeanne, loses her soul to a demon — races to a mountain named Fimbulventr (known for housing the Gates of Hell) to find and save her companion. Through this quest, you’ll encounter a myriad of enemies, bosses, and entrancing landscapes while you collect new weapons and abilities.

Combat is exceptionally dynamic and versatile, with the number of potential combos you can create being substantially large. But battles also feel rewarding and impactful; enemies are complicated, and time frames for dodging and countering can be extremely tight.

Avoiding at the right moment will activate ‘Witch Time’ — an ability that slows downtime, allows you to deal more severe damage, and builds up your magic gauge. Once your magic gauge has filled, you can activate the ‘Umbran Climax,’ which is a new ability that will allow you to deal massive amounts of damage.

Bayonetta 2’s art style is as gorgeous and thoroughly developed as its soundtrack. The iconic character designs, environments, and gameplay elements have all influenced subsequent hack and slash titles. With the release of Bayonetta 3 potentially on the horizon (having been announced as in development back in 2017), there’s no better time to explore the series if you haven’t had the chance to yet!

3.Assassin’s Creed 3

Assassin's Creed 3
Assassin’s Creed 3

Assassins creeds are my favorite and best sequels. There has to be in my best Wii u games list. A fearless and brave warrior fights to save his motherland.

But what begins as a fight over colony turns into a journey that will transform him into a Master Assassin – one that will always change the destiny of a new nation. Assume the role of Connor, warrior son of a Native American mother and British father Kenway.

As the colonies move closer to revolution, you will devote your life to your clan’s independence, becoming the spark that lights the revolution into a full fire. Your crusade will lead you into blood-soaked battlefields and city streets crowded by people, to the dangerous wastelands and stormy seas.

Always know where your enemies are with a larger, more comprehensive overhead map at your fingertips. Quickly change your weapons on the fly to vary your combos without ever stopping the action on-screen.

4.Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

The fourth game in the Assassin’s Creed series, putting players in pirate Edward Kenway as he sails the seven seas. One of the best Wii u games of all time Assassins creed. All Assassins creed series is best in the story and Graphics.

Something about Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag appealed to even non-fans of the Ubisoft series. It may be the fantastic sea-based combat and seamlessly go from attacking enemy ships with cannons to boarding them and taking them over. Or it may be how its massive world map is packed with tiny islands, large villages, and forest areas full of nooks to explore, crannies to investigate, and guards to stab in the face. Whatever it is, it’s worth a go.

The Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag – Nintendo Wii U is a game where you can play both an assassin and a pirate. You play as Edward Kenway, performing both the roles of a pirate captain and a killer. The game gives you access to weapons such as the famous assassin’s blade and other new weapons such as dual cutlass swords and flintlock pistols.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

You get to play in over 50 locations ranging from Kingston to Nassau, living as a pirate captain of the Jackdaw looting underwater shipwrecks and an assassin killing templars in great cities. The Jackdaw, your ship, gets equipped and upgraded as you plunder and pillage while experiencing landmark events during pirates’ golden age. With the aid of the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag – Nintendo Wii U, you get to establish a lawless republic in the Bahamas and work with utmost ruthlessness.

You can play the game alone or with others by using the multiplayer mode, hunting for animals, searching for treasures, and escaping to hidden coves. When you choose to play online, you get to unlock some achievements and complete missions that are only possible by playing in the online mode. The protagonist in this game is better than Assassin’s Creed III and fits his role perfectly. You get to enjoy naval battles and have a readily accessible map on the gamepad’s screen.

Loot treasures, complete missions, upgrade your ship, capture other ships to increase the size of your fleet, and have fun as you immerse yourself into the world of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag – Nintendo Wii U.

5.Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice Gods Among Us
Injustice: Gods Among Us

Another of my favorite addicting games but this time for best Wii u games. I hope you like this game. And hope this becomes one of your favorite games.

Injustice: God Among Us is one of the greatest fighting games ever created, and seeing it running on a Nintendo console is a gift. As you should assume of any game delivered on Nintendo’s outdated hardware, it doesn’t look as high as the releases on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. All the content is intact, though.

All of the players, stages, and combos are seen in the original release are in the Wii U port. Although the game was initially released outwardly support for DLC fighters, developer NetherRealm reinforced them later, allowing you to play with the full catalog of characters.

6.Resident Evil: Revelations

Resident Evil Revelations
Resident Evil: Revelations

A Wii U port of a game initially designed for the 3DS. Taking the Resident Evil series back to its roots, it’s a traditional survival horror game in which Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield team up to stop a bioterrorist organization infecting the world’s oceans virus.

A cracking adventure set partly on a mutant-infested boat. Revelations bring back the claustrophobia and tight settings of early games in the series. If you’re the sort who misses the old puzzle-solving, atmospheric gameplay in the style of Resident Evil 1 and 2, this is the fellow for you.

7.Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

The Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate – Nintendo Wii U was created by Capcom to be played on various platforms such as Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. However, if you are not a fan of the disk, you can purchase the 3DS Digital Code or the Wii U Digital Code online.

You can play the game online with other players as a result of its online multiplayer feature. It also has a local co-op feature that makes it possible to play it locally with others. You get to fight against monsters with a larger-than-life appearance and create many weapons while providing armor for your battles.

The game is fun to play, and you can go on more than 200 quests, each with its challenges. You have to put your armor and weapons to good use to come out victorious in each pursuit. If you choose to play the game and go on the quests alone, the game will give you two AI companions that will assist you.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

You can also decide to play with friends who are with you as the game can take up to three extra players collaborating with you at once. However, the friends need to have the Nintendo 3DS to join you in your fun adventure. Asides the local co-op using the 3DS, you can play online with up to three friends who have their own Nintendo Wii U systems.

However, you will need to perform some single-player missions alone for you to be able to collaborate with others. If you don’t, then Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate feels like an unintuitive mess of mechanics.

If you do, you’ll find yourself losing hundreds of hours slaying monsters, looting them for parts, crafting new gear, and doing it all over again. Honestly, if you fall into the “I don’t get it” class, you might give Ultimate a go anyway.

8.Lego City: Undercover

Lego City: Undercover
Lego City: Undercover

Whenever a new Lego game was announced. You never expected anyone to do it, did you? But then, all of a sudden, Traveller’s Tales went there, and it turned out to be a great game too.

Lego City: Undercover includes a massive city to explore and all the charm Lego games are known for, without the Adults-only rating that open-world crime games usually get.

Donning an astronaut costume will let you zoom around in a jetpack (because apparently, astronauts have jetpacks), and dressing as a firefighter allows you to put out fires you find in the open world. Though you’ll likely miss co-op, which was oddly omitted from Lego City, there’s a good chance you’ll be distracted enough by the dozens of hours of content that you’ll barely notice it’s missing.

9.ZombiU

ZombiU
ZombiU

Ubi’s surprise launch day hit is still as terrifying as it was back in 2012. The zombie virus has hit London, and you’re one of the few survivors out there who hasn’t turned into a brain-hungry staggering fiend. It’s not like zombies haven’t been done to death (or undeath), but ZombiU manages to crank up the tension in several ways. It’s permadeath for one thing.

Send your courageous survivor out into London town and die, and you’ll restart as another character entirely, full with backstory. All that’s left of your previous character is a shambling corpse and one that you’ll probably have to kill if you want your precious rucksack of stuff back.

ZombiU is brutal and nasty. Surviving is difficult, weapons are limited, but a lot of the terror begins from some terrifyingly creative uses of the GamePad.

While you’re rummaging around in your rucksack for loot, you’re prime zombie munching fodder, so every gaze into your inventory is a severe risk. Looting enemies and sniping is all done through the GamePad too, so it all genuinely feels designed for the console instead of shoehorned. Officially the scariest game on Wii U.

10.Legend of Zelda: Breath of wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an absolute masterpiece that’s not only one of the best Zelda titles ever released but also one of the best action-adventure games ever made

Legend of Zelda: Breath of wild
Legend of Zelda: Breath of wild

Breath of the Wild combines various the best elements from previous titles but introduces them in a completely different context, an expansive and vast open world. Breath of the Wild is the first mainline Zelda title that offers players complete freedom to choose the route of their story and experience, rather than the usual linear gameplay that previous titles have incorporated.

From the moment the game begins, you’re greeted with Link’s familiar expressionless face, our beloved hero of Hyrule. As you complete the beginning of the introductory tutorial, you’ll be introduced the breathtaking, lively world of Hyrule. As you look around you and realize that everything within your field of view is fully accessible and traversable, the gravity of the scale of the world of this game truly begins to set in.

The gameplay is refined, tight, and extremely responsive. With battle mechanics being reminiscent of iconic titles like Twilight Princess, Link seamlessly switches between combat and free-roaming as you decide whether to battle the enemies you encounter.

Attacks and dodges are crucial, and have been appropriately fine-tuned; weapons and shields can now break, increasing their temporary value in tight spots and pressing situations. With a world this large comes the possibility of running into undefeatable enemies (in the early stages of the game), so beware of the path you walk.

The stunning art design, the hypnotizing melodies and soundtrack, the enticing and intuitive gameplay, and the jaw-dropping narrative comprise a veritable tour-de-force in both the Wii U’s and Nintendo’s overall library. If you haven’t had the chance to play Breath of the Wild, or potentially haven’t had the opportunity to play a Zelda title at all before, please give this game a try calling it one of the best games on the Wii U doesn’t do it justice.

Conclusion:

Since the release of the Nintendo Wii U, there have been many games that can be played on the console to the satisfaction of the players. Nintendo created some of the games. However, other companies such as Capcom, Namco, and Ubi Soft have games that can be played on the console.

The Nintendo Wii U also happens to be backward compatible. This means all the games you played on the Nintendo Wii can be played on the Wii U. Hence, you have many options to choose from when it comes to what games to play on your Wii U.

Choosing what games to buy for you Nintendo Wii U would be more comfortable if you know the fundamental things you want from your competition. Such fundamentals include the game genre you desire and other factors such as whether you wish to play alone or with others.

Do they still make Wii U games?

Wii u Console was Discontinued by Nintendo in November 2017. Also, they Don’t make Wii and Wii u games anymore. The last game for Wii u was Breath of the Wild. Nintendo’s Wii u is now officially Dead. Nintendo reported that it sold 6.2 million units all over the world.

Is it worth Buying Wii u?

The Wii U may have been a failure, but it’s an excellent way to dive into Nintendo’s back catalog during coronavirus self-isolation. It’s easy to find a decent-condition used Wii U on eBay sites for around $100 to $170. These will probably require a decent bit of cleaning, and buyers should look out for scratches on the admittedly cheap-feeling Wii U Gamepad controller’s plastic screen, but used Wii U bundles can provide access to a massive number of classic Nintendo games for much less than the prices of new Switch consoles during current shortages.

Which is the rarest Wii U game?

One of the rarest and most valuable Wii U games is issuing to Nintendo Switch: Hello Kitty Kruisers. For Wii U game collectors, this springtime 2018 Switch re-release may drudge up old recollections of trying to buy the obscure title.
Hello Kitty Kruisers is a multiplayer racing game starring Kitty and several of her buddies, like Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, and My Melody, who drive a variation of karts in a type of outfits. Unluckily, it does not look as cutesy as it sounds, and I’m a big Sanrio fan. Those character figures just aren’t doing it for me. Also, where’s Pochacco? Where’s Gudetama? In fairness, it was basically an iOS game … but with the Sanrio, the name comes high expectations.
Despite the few reviews out there for the 2014 Wii U version of Kruisers recommending it’s not much to write home about, the game has become a pricy collector’s item in the ages since it was released.
