1.Dead Space: Extraction
Dead Space: Extraction is much more than a haunted shooting gallery, as the display, voice acting, and extraordinary visuals make you feel like a part of the action. Built from the ground up and detailed exclusively for the Wii. Dead Space Extraction is a prequel that reveals the circumstances leading up to Isaac Clarke’s mission toward the first Dead Space game, which released in 2008.
Dead Space: Extention is one of the best Wii games. You’re not just moving along with a destination reticle blasting grotesque monsters; you are that person – dodging and weaving, cursing in disbelief, shivering with the guerrilla-style shaky cam that immerses you in the world like no other game in the genre.
Like any good rollercoaster, Extraction gets your heart racing and adrenaline pounding even though you own no control. An exciting and heartfelt take on the lightgun scene.
The game offers a new heroine to the story, and as the crew fall victim to a mysterious contagion aboard the ship, it becomes clear that defending her may be their only hope for survival. Dead Space Extraction introduces all-new figures, weapons, enemies, problems, and co-operative multiplayer gameplay.
2.A Boy and His Blob
When you consider great gaming mates — Mario and Yoshi, Sonic and Tail — barely anyone would shout out the pseudonymous “Boy” and his “Blob.” Re-imagined from an old-fashioned classic title of the same name, 2009’s A Boy and His Blob took a gameplay idea from Nintendo’s more old days.
They hit the Wii with attractive graphics, clever puzzles, and addictive platforming action. Including artwork motivated by cartoon-like drawings and a more heartwarming interpretation of the two titular characters, Majesco Games could re-create a genuinely unique title that easily ranks among the best Wii games yet.
In a boy and his blob, an evil emperor has seized the throne of Blobolonia, and the fortune of its citizens lies in the hands of the blob and a young boy he meets when he crash lands on Earth. Playing the boy’s part, gamers must work together with their new blob companion to solve puzzles, destroy monsters, and avoid danger on Earth and Blobolonia.
By filling the blob jelly beans, players can animate his unparalleled abilities to transform him into essential tools – including a ladder, parachute, trampoline, shield, cannon, and many more major. Every different blob form aids the boy as he travels 40 side-scrolling levels filled with concealed treasures and unlockable bonus content to the Emperor’s Citadel.
Regular beans so as Apple Jack, Tangerine Trampoline, and Licorice Ladder, are linked by all-new jellybeans, including Caramel Cannon and Bubble Gum Bubble to create a brand unique play adventure that just Wii can give.
Protagonist Shulk seeks to use a legendary sword to defend his people against the evil Mechon army. It appears like your standard JRPG, but the game’s expanse, immersive fantasy, impressive sound composition, and spontaneous control scheme make Chronicles worth remembering. A sequel for Nintendo Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, has been released, and there’s also a Xenoblade game available on Wii U.
Xenoblade Chronicles is a fantastic game that’s earned a cult following in the years following its release, partially due to its limited availability.
The story occurs atop two titans (Bionis and Mechonis) are perpetually at war and involve the two different races that live on these titans — the Homs, and the Mechon. The main character, Shulk, is a member of the Homs (living on Bionis), who can wield the
fabled Monado, a sword foretold to be an essential tool in the war against the Mechon. Playing as Shulk, you set off on a journey with Reyn, your companion, meeting new companions and characters as you venture towards your vengeance for the Homs.
The combat system for Xenoblade is particularly unique; via a real-time action battle system, you’ll move freely during combat as Shulk, shuffling through selectable abilities and attacks while your companions auto-attack. Outside of battle, the game is an open world and allows for free exploration of many different vast locations.
Through several quests, missions, and encounters, you’ll grow to love the world and characters that Xenoblade offers. With a New Game+ mode enable, you’ll find even more secrets and story elements on your second playthrough!
Between the beautiful story, the unique and engaging gameplay, the gorgeous visuals, and the inspiring soundtrack and the challenging missions and bosses, this game is a now-appreciated magnum opus.
Here’s hoping that if you haven’t played Xenoblade Chronicles before, you’ll try on the Wii. But if not, the definitive edition is being released on the Switch on May 29th, 2020!
4.Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption set a different model for the first-person movement controls in video games.
If you believe you knew what it felt the same to be the bounty hunter following the visor, assume again. Aim at evil with Nintendo’s advanced controller. Members control Samus by moving with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the pointer, allotting for a level of immersion, unlike anything they have ever undergone.
Through Samus’s eyes, players experience a quantum leap in first-person control as they wield the Wii Remote, the ultimate device for the first-person shooter genre. Samus employs well-known power-ups like the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball and a bunch of new surprises, to help her survive her future trials.
Saving the planets from Corruption isn’t enough, though. Eventually, players must take down Samus’ more. When the Metroid line made its move over GameCube as Metroid Prime, it was showered with praise for successfully offering a first-person shot on the franchise.
Like Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes before it, Corruption follows bounty hunter Samus Aran in her battle against the evil Space Pirates (and other foes). Samus’ trusty beam cannon and missile launcher return, as does her “Morph Ball” ability, allowing her to roll up in a tiny ball to explore tight spaces.
Corruption makes excellent use of the Wii’s motion controls, combining lock-on targeting with free, aiming for a smooth, responsive feel.
The difficulty is toned down a bit from Echoes, were boss fights often required several attempts, but Corruption is still a satisfying experience.

6.Red Steel 2
The first Red Steel assured us the fantasy of operating a console controller similar to a sword, converting us into badass samurai (that also used guns). 7.Mario Kart Wii
Were it not for its Wii U sequel, Mario Kart Wii would indisputably hold the crown for best Mario Kart game. The addition of more riders per race, motorbikes, a tweaked drifting system, and the ability to perform tricks were all hailed as significant improvements. The courses are as excellent as they’ve ever been.
Let’s be real. Mario Kart Wii doesn’t change the game like Mario Kart 64 or Double Dash. However, the Wii version of this time-honored Nintendo tradition was still beloved in its own right. It felt like a slicker, better-looking version of Mario Kart 64, and that’s not a bad thing.
The unique features of Mario Kart Wii, like various Wii games, was its motion controls. Nintendo also bundled in the plastic wheel accessory with every copy of the game. With 32 tracks — 16 new, 16 from previous games — and battle mode, the iconic racer’s Wii entry delivered a relatively robust package that hit its stride when playing on the couch alongside friends.
Considering that motion controls have been a part of each console, Mario Kart’s experience (Mario Kart 8 for Wii U and the deluxe version for Switch), Mario Kart Wii’s impact is still found in the series today.
Even though it wasn’t quite what we wanted, Mario Kart is excellent no matter what. You would be hard-pressed to get a more satisfying racing game for Wii.

Nintendo’s future is as cloudy as ever?
Nintendo’s Wii future doesn’t seem very sharp. The company’s eighth-generation console the Wii U suffers from all of the same dilemmas as it’s antecedent lower horsepower, exclusive controls, and small third-party developer support’s mostly attributed to a steep price reduction.
However, Nintendo is still very far away from its previously stated goal of selling 9 million units by March 2014. To make matters worse, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One will arrive next month, threatening to leave the Wii U in the dust.
For now, Nintendo still holds the role in handheld gaming, with the 3DS holding almost 85% market share compared to Sony’s PlayStation Vita’s 15% share, but that may later be its only market left. And even that last stronghold is being threatened by a rise in smartphone and tablet games.
Nintendo, which was once considered the “Apple of video games,” could soon become the “BlackBerry of video games” , if it stubbornly continues to repeat the mistakes of its past.
